The holiday season is upon us and this year we're offering tips on making sure your bank account can survive December 26th.

1. Set a gift giving plan in advance-
Eliminate the need for impulse buys by creating a gift list for loved ones, co-workers, etc.

2. Save your lunch money-
In the weeks leading up to Christmas, brown bag it to work, by saving a small amount of $6-$10 dollars a day, the money will truly add up.

3. Set spending boundaries with your family-
Sit down with your children as they make their list and check it twice. Establish gift guidelines and help them understand budgeting early on. Not only will it save you stress, but there's a valuable lesson in it as well.

More importantly, remember the reason for the season and enjoy this time of celebration.
