When you think of America's school issues, Dr. Steve Perry comes to mind. He was introduced to us in 2008, through the CNN: Black in America special which highlighted Perry's school in Hartford, CT. Since then, he's been a champion for the plight of education in the black community. Since then, Dr. Perry has been a thought leader in discussions on the importance of families in the pursuit of education.
