The Great 8: Eatonville's Eagle Scouts

Once an Eagle, always an Eagle certainly rings true for the eight young men from Eatonville's Troop 603. On Saturday, May 5th they will be bestowed the highest honor in Boy Scouts of America by becoming Eagle Scouts. Monica May sits with a few of the young men as they recount their experience in the organization and the true meaning of being a Scout.

According toscouting.org, from 1912 to 2010, more than 2 million Boy Scouts earned the Eagle Scout rank. The young men will also join the ranks of prominent African American Eagle Scouts such as: Ernest Green(Little Rock Nine) and Guy Bluford, Jr. (1st African American in space)
