Friday Already?!

Monica May's Aruba Getaway
Monica May's Aruba Getaway

My oh my how the time is drifting slowly. We've been here so long, I'm sure the locals are wondering if we relocated... Yesterday it was a challenge getting our internet access, but luckily my well travelled daughter hipped me to an Internet cafe, so now we're back in action! These last two days were filled with many adventures and unforgettable memories.

On Thursday we took an excursion and went snorkeling in the Carribean Sea. Well in my case I "snorked". Which means I literally hopped off the boat into 25 feet of water, took one peek, and doggy paddled back to safety. I was the joke of the boat. But today was a different story. To redeem my "snork," I chose to be the first to parasail with our group. Boy was that fun! I was floating 150 feet in the air, it seriously felt like it was only me and God up there. The most amazing experience I've ever had.

There are a few other perks left to share with you about the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino. Not only is it a relaxing environment, it's a great place to host meetings, conferences, and even weddings. With 8 different restaurants and lounges there is something for everyone's tastes. The other cool part is their casino which is open until 4 a.m.! Also their Tierra del Sol is the first championship golf course in Aruba. There's even a Camp Hyatt, for the kiddies... So needless to say, whatever your travel plans are, the Hyatt Regency Aruba would be more than accomodating.

In our final days here, we will spend one more afternoon rummaging tourist buys, and hopefully find a museum to learn more of the amazing culture this happy island offers. And one last treat: Pampered in Paradise... Which we'll save for the next entry. Don't forget to look at the photos! Until then bon nochi...
