February 4th Rosa Parks Rosa L. Parks, also known as the mother of freedom movement, was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, on this date in 1913. Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat in the colored section to a white passenger, because the white section was filled.
The city of Moore, Okla., was hit by a mile-wide tornado Monday afternoon.
