The holiday season is in full swing and  STAR Cares wants to know: What are YOU doing to give back?

Interestingly enough, familes today are deciding to skip the cooking tradition and pick up a community service project. Locate an organization serving a meal and donate your morning. Let's face it, if you've seen one Thanksgiving Day Parade, you've seen them all... Not only is it great to see the faces of people light up, it's heartwarming to express thanks through giving. As our economy continues to shift, more and more families are standing in need. It's important to remember that life can change at any moment for all of us.

If time is short and but you'd still like to give back, the Darrell Armstrong Foundation for Premature Babies, Inc. is requesting the community donate just $40 to supply a family with a full Thanksgiving spread. The goal is to reach 160 families on Tuesday, November 20^th, in varying neighborhoods across Orange County including: Paramore, Pine Hills, and Washington Shores. STAR Cares will also kick off Seasons Blessings with The Experience Christian Center. We're collecting 1,000 pairs of jeans to help homeless men, women, and children in the month of December. Keep checking back for details and as always: STAR Cares about our community!
