100th Anniversary of Rosa Parks' Birth says President Obama Yesterday President Barack Obama recognized a very special day in African-American history. February 4, 2013 was proclaimed to be the 100th Anniversary of the birth of Rosa Parks. President Obama stated, “I call upon all Americans to observe this day with appropriate service, community, and education programs to honor Rosa Parks's enduring legacy”. He also honored Parks by recreating the memorial photo of the civil rights activist on the bus. Happy Birthday to Rosa Parks, her legacy will always be remembered.
The city of Moore, Okla., was hit by a mile-wide tornado Monday afternoon.
