'Rescue Me' Singer Fontella Bass Dead at 72 Singer Fontella Bass, famous for her 1965 song ‘Rescue Me’ passed away on Wednesday at the age of 72. Bass died in a St. Louis hospital after complications from a heart attack several weeks ago.
The city of Moore, Okla., was hit by a mile-wide tornado Monday afternoon.
