Friday Night Out- Sunset Canoe Adventure on Shingle Creek Visit nature up close and personal- canoes, paddles, life vests provided  Friday, November 2, 20126:00 pm - 9:00 pm $20 per (2) persons.  This will be a leisurely paddle up Shingle Creek approximately 1 mile north to the Babb Landing property where we will take a stretch and snack break under a beautiful spreading live oak. Canoes, paddles, and life vests will be provided.  A restroom is available at the launch site at the Steffee Landing and at the Babb Landing though there is about a half mile walk to the main entrance at Babb Landing.  Light snacks will be provided.  Feel free to bring a cooler with your preferred snacks.  Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get wet. You may want a light jacket as it may cool off after sunset.   You may want a dry towel and change of clothes in your car for the ride home, JUST IN CASE!   FRIDAY NIGHT OUTThe full moon is October 29 so it should still be bright and be rising as we return to Steffee Landing.  Feel free to bring a headlamp or flashlight with a red lens.   The moon looks fabulous through binoculars if you have them. This monthly series is an opportunity for twosomes (whether it be significant others or friends) to enjoy the programs offered by Osceola County Extension Services in an innovative and fun way! All of these programs promote fun teamwork with an educational component sprinkled in. Each program is unique to the instructor's area of expertise, so make sure to attend as many as you can. Some programs you can expect: canning and cooking, geo-caching, sunset canoeing, and making holiday gifts. What Else Do I Need to Know? •Friday Night Out programs are held one Friday a month from 6:00pm-9:00pm at various locations in Osceola County. •All programs are tailored for groups of two, so bring your wife, husband, significant other, family member, or friend. •The program is only for adults unless specified on the instructor's registration site. Please make arrangements for your child(ren). •All participants must register through Eventbrite. Below you will find a listing of programs.
