Course: 13.1 mile Half Marathon - The course starts with a 5K loop followed by a 5 mile out and back course along Lakeshore Drive from Tavares to Mount Dora. While most people will jog or run the course they are participating in, this is YOUR race, and if you feel like walking either distance that is ok. Aprrox 3 hours after the start, local law enforcement will stop blocking off the traffic lane, at that point, you will need to walk on the sidewalk.We do a sweep of the course to make sure everyone is done prior to dismantling the finish structure and rolling up the timing mats. Awards: Special commemorative awards for the top three overall, top masters, and top three in each age division for both the 5K and Half Marathon. Amenities: Chip timing, colorful T-shirt, Finisher Medal, Accurately measured and well monitored course, Post Race Food. Registering by February 27th ensures proper t-shirt size.
